I bought this, as I wanted to try something other than a Keurig, which I find to be of very poor quality and do not work as intended for very long. Frankly, this Flexbrew is horrible! Despite me running through at least 10 reservoirs of water, the coffee brewed has a nasty taste and smell. The thing is also painfully slow. If I have to make coffee for us and, say, two guests, it becomes a "career" . Each brew has to be first pumped into the boiler then heated up from scratch. Please do not waste your money on this junk. Sorry Keurig, you were not so bad after all!

I have had this coffee maker since March. It started off being a decent coffee maker. I like the convenience of kcups and my husband likes using the scoop. We work different shifts so, single cup brew works best for us. Just recently, it has started exploding the coffee pods though. It does this every single one, I have tried different brands of cups and it does the same thing. For the price, you'd think you could get at least 6 months or, more ideally, over a year out of the thing. The troubleshooting instructions don't offer any help, they just blame the coffee pods. Now, I'm stuck with a crappy cup of coffee and coffee grounds everywhere.

This machine make good coffee. The only thing is you have to wait the water to warm up before having your coffee cup ready witch take about 4 minutes waiting time.
Keurig ones keep some water hot all the time and make your drink faster.

Daughter has another Hamilton Beach coffee maker, but it also has the full pot option that she just doesn't need. She specifically asked for the coffee maker that makes single cups and uses the reusable filter pack. Done, and done. She's mentioned a few times how much she likes it.

When Amazon delivered it the coffee maker was actually wet and smelled of coffee. I washed the items before use - filled the reservoir with just 15 oz. of water and immediately I had water everywhere. I cleaned it up put a smaller amount in, double checked it was in properly and again the water flowed out. Obviously, I have been sent a damaged return and am very annoyed for the inconvenience it is now causing me.

The product is very good however I'd be reticent to buy another one. Hamilton Beach customer service is non existent. Beware if anything goes wrong or you want a part.

3.0 out of 5 stars Slow but convenient

Well, here goes Pros first: I really like the basket provided for using my own coffee. I had a Keurig for years and cleaning it was a pain. Plus I always had coffee residue at the bottom of my cup. I also like the option of making a bold brew. The clean up on this product is a snap.

Cons: SLOW brewing. I can make my bed in the morning while waiting for it to brew. The drip container that the cup sits on holds minimal amount. If you forget to put your cup on or use too small a cup, you have a real mess.

All things considered, I will keep this coffeemaker. I am willing to put up with the slow brewing to have the ease of cleaning.

5.0 out of 5 stars BETTER THAN KEURIG

We had ordered 2 or 3 Keurig's for our office and for some reason, they would not work properly. They would get clogged, or after very short period of time they would cut off during process. We became frustrated so decided to try another brand. LOVE THIS MACHINE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Coffee Even After Creamer

Hot Coffee even after adding creamer! I don't like warm coffee. I always microwaved the creamer so I wasn't trying to drink it before it got cold. I use a metal travel mug that fits with room to spare. Did I say it was hot?😊 It is so easy to make and cleaning it takes a minute. I like that I can use the cups and my own ground I really like the clear water holding tank. I will be able to see that the water is clean. I concidered the 1 cup at a time you use it. I am short and I make a mess pouring the water in. It doesn't take up much more room.
Well I can't think of anything negative. So I highly recommend it. I am very happy I got it. I think you will be too!

1.0 out of 5 stars Plastic!

Okay, I read all the reviews, and I should have believed that if so many people mentioned the plastic taste that it must be true. But I didn't. I tried everything to get rid of the taste, because I liked the design and capabilities (k-cup or ground) of the machine. Repeated water rinse, vinegar, isopropyl alcohol, lemon juice. NOTHING gets rid of the taste of plastic. And not just a little...it even smells up the kitchen. Apparently, there is evidence that some people can't taste the plastic, like cilantro---if that's the case, I'm one of the MANY who can. It's going back, and I'm buying another Keurig.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's a Good Machine

It's a good machine. It's worth the money. I did a lot of research and most people seemed pleased with it. However, I returned it because my husband and I wanted to use it in an office setting for a special convention we were attending and wanted to be able to offer coffee to the attendees. We tested it out before the event. It took 3 minutes to brew a single cup. My husband was comparing the brew time to our Keurig which is one minute. The time didn't bother me, but it bothered my husband so it was returned and we went with a Keurig.
